JCI World Congress – As a globally active organisation, JCI boasts an illustrious membership with personalities that have included John F. Kennedy, Jacques Chirac and Bill Clinton. Active in more than 100 countries on all five continents, JCI has 6,000 chambers with some 200,000 members. The latter are young people united by a common goal – the desire to assume responsibility and make a difference. The idea behind JCI is that positive changes can only be set in motion by governments to a limited extent. Members thus take matters into their own hands, launching local, national and international initiatives which they discuss and plan at their annual congress.
